As a real estate agent and instructor, Vanessa knows that she is fulfilling her purpose. Graduating early at the top of her class from high school and college, she carried that drive over into real estate school where she again ranked #1. Vanessa has always had a passion for Real Estate, which is exemplified in the skill and care she shows when assisting customers. Originally from Philadelphia, Vanessa migrated to NC after serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Thorough and determined, Vanessa is truly a go getter with a winning attitude. Helping others is her talent and she found teaching to be a gift. Vanessa has a way of breaking down information as she says "Barney style”, so that all students can understand the information.
Adding a new flair to CE is Judge James, the alter ego of Vanessa. While absorbing new information or reviewing case studies, you the jury will review testimony before letting Judge James read the verdict. Class is interactive and exciting with Judge James decked out in her robe and armed with her gavel, as we review the latest and greatest cases in the real estate world. There is never a dull moment with Judge James on the bench!
Trish Adams - 'The Barefoot Instructor'

Originally from the barbecue capital of Lexington, Trish was born and raised in NC. Although dual degreed in higher learning, her educational claim to fame is her certificate from real estate school. Personally invested in her craft because of a very humble upbringing, her niche clientele has been those that need more handholding. That helping spirit led her to a servant leadership role of mentoring, so Trish extended her real estate knowledge into the field of education. Trish stands on her core value of equipping others to make informed decisions about the process when it comes to investing, buying or selling real estate. This winning attitude carries over into helping her peers have a better understanding of the real estate industry. Trish believes that if one wins, we all win! She is truly your hometown girl with your best interest at heart.
Two things you can count on with Trish in the classroom is her quick whit and her being barefoot under her desk. Her sense of humor and endless analogies helps make information relatable and understandable. Country girl at heart, she grew up playing outside shoeless and that mentality often holds true today. With the Zoom platform, Trish also invites you to be comfortable (while conforming to class protocol) as we spend time together virtually.

Sakika James is a Carolina girl through and through. She grew up in the small town of Fairmont, NC where she learned to value family and community. More lovingly known to family and friends as ‘Kika’, for her the two are often one in the same. Kika attended both UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC-Greensboro where she ultimately earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, as well as a master’s in applied geography in the area of Urban Planning & Economic Development.
Kika’s educational background escorted her to a career in real estate. Some notable highlights include working for regional and national builders, general brokerage with buyers and sellers, as well as being an active Broker in Charge of her own real estate firm. Continued experience of corporate training and collegiate teaching was an undeniable segway to a career in real estate instruction. She has married the two worlds with training and development for peer brokerages, agent recruitment as a Director of Operations and training her own team while owning her own office.
Currently, Kika is an empty nester! She is the proud mother of one son and now one grandson. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends watching college football, (Roll Tide & Go Heels!), traveling as time permits, and cooking.
Dennis Miller – Instructor

As a licensed NC real instructor for over 20 years, Dennis brings a wealth of real estate knowledge to the real estate classroom. Having sold over $300 Million in new homes, Dennis has been among the top new home sales representatives in the country. Dennis has a BBA from the University of Houston, and an MBA in corporate finance from Strayer University. Dennis has also been a college professor for over 20 years.
Dennis has held several top management positions in the real estate industry: Director of a national new home builder, VP of operations, VP of sales & marketing, and has been a among the country’s top ten new homes sales representatives two times. Dennis has three daughters, and eight grandchildren. He earned his Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do in 2002, in Raleigh NC. Dennis currently resides in Greensboro, NC and in Myrtle Beach, SC, with his lovely wife, Connie.
